Sebatian Helling (b. 1975, Great Britain) obtained his Bachelor of Arts degree from the London College of Printing (GB) in 2001, followed by a Master of Fine Arts from the Royal College of Art (GB). In 2011, he furthered his education with a Master of Arts from Statens Kunstakademi in Oslo (NO).

Helling ventures into the realm of explosive canvases adorned with splashes of paint and text. Sometimes, he employs spray paint, while at other times, he applies paint with a brush, later stroking and smudging it with his fingers. Through a meticulous layering process, Helling crafts a visual interplay that both conceals and reveals recognizable motifs, which subtly emerge amidst elementary symbols and abstract language.
