Anna Degnbol (b. 1993) is a visual artist, illustrator and comics creator. She holds an MA in graphic communication design from The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, Copenhagen (DK) with additional studies at Universität der Künste Berlin (DE). While mainly working with coloured pencil, Degnbol's style is defined by the manga and comics she grew up reading, as well as sci-fi settings from film and media. Her artworks often depict abstract settings with recognisable features that have been morphed into new imaginary shapes, colours and forms. She aims to portray fantasy worlds that convey an idea of fluidity and endless possibilities of shaping perceptions, free from the limits of history. She has made illustrations for clients such as Politiken, Vice Danmark, Monokrom, Broccoli Magazine, Goodbye Press, Mykki Blanco, Das Wetter Magazin and Homeschool.
Degnbol lives and works in Chicago (US).
