Anna Degnbol art
While mainly working with coloured pencil, Degnbol's style is defined by the manga and comics she grew up reading, as well as sci-fi settings from film and media. Her work is inspired by the way people create or support their sense of self through the way they dress, interact, exchange energy and position themselves in the world. The subjects in her work reflect an idea of the way women will look like in the future, based on her perception of women she sees in her everyday life. Her artworks often depict abstract settings with recognisable features that have been morphed into new imaginary shapes, colours and forms. She aims to portray fantasy worlds that convey an idea of fluidity and endless possibilities of shaping perceptions, free from the limits of history.
