Jakob Martin Strid (b. 1972) is a self-taught cartoonist and illustrator. His works are described by the artist himself as aiming to create multiple imaginative fairy tales in a variety of settings with machines, space ships and various other technical apparatuses. At the same time his artistic framework often juxtaposes nature and culture, as well as imagination and reality. Most of the drawings are based on stories found in the artist’s books and cartoons.
