Mikkel Ørsted (born in Nakke, Denmark, 1988) graduated from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts in 2020. His primary media are painting and printing. Ørsted's works often contain rudiments of space and natural elements, highly stylized into an abstract sensuous idiom. His works explore not only a visual abstraction but more an abstraction of perception itself. His aim is to expand not only notions of perception but also of beauty.
